Destination Reading required a series of mini 'documentaries' to elucidate educational topics and add interest value for the kids. The turnaround for the movies was very tight, so I designed a series of simple, easily updatable templates in After Effects. I maneuvered my way around the minimal amount of stock footage available with creative use of static photography - for example, the arctic scene in the 'Reptiles' movie was created with a sliced static photo, some photoshoppery and a snow animation using expressions.
